The Domain of Didier Grappe

The domain is situated entirely in the community of St Lothain which benefits from the label of origin AOC Cotes du Jura.

Champs Rouges
This vineyard is found at the exit of the village in the direction of Darbonnay.  As the name indicates the soil is composed of red wine coloured earth, and patches of red-grey autumn leaves, which is characteristic of the best vineyard lands in the Jura.  The planted vines are Trousseau and Savagin.

En Novelin :
South of  the village church on the limestone slopes (Petit Mont) is the best land in the village; a plot with good exposure to the south.  The soil is mostly composed of reg-grey earth favourable for the Trousseau vines.

Longefin :
Across from Novelin on a little hill called “Ramandot” the vines are exposed to the north but get lots of sunlight. Here the Chardonnay vines are finely selected to favour quality rather than quantity.

Due to the demand being high the production is quickly dispersed and sometimes this means a delay in stock. Because of this the wines of Domaine Grappe are not for sale in the large wine retail outlets.

Holiday Location and Rental
A warm, friendly reception is reserved for each visitor.  The gite can accommodate a couple with two children (a double bedroom and convertable living room.  On demand or by appointment you can visit the vineyard and taste the wine. Groups welcome.
